Following a prompt left in our feed today has inspired this post.
The song lyric that has stuck with me forever… or in this case, since I heard it is… “I Am the One and Only,” by Chesney Hawkes. The concept, title, chorus… just that simple phrase is it for me. It is part of the Doc Hollywood soundtrack and I have had it in my favorites since experience one. If there is anything I love, besides music and books… and critters, is the idea of being unique and march to my own drum. In my case though, it is more likely that I want to be the one and only in such a way that I found the drum bits, molded the frame, stretched the covers, and tied it off from scratch. Yes, I have been known to take this a little too far, but I got to the point that being like others was not my style.
If you ask my all-time favorite song, its “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. Everyday. Every time. There are many others that are at the top of my list, but Journey sets a whole new vibe up, and sets a positive tone for me.
So, without taking this to the extreme that I did, what is your favorite lyric?
